WELCOME TO MESSIAH

We would like to invite you to join us on a wonderful journey--a journey of faith that will transform your life by deepening your relationship with God. At Messiah, we like to say that we are "GRaCe PoWeReD." This simple mission statement guides all that we do here at Messiah. Each consonant is a gentle reminder that we become GRaCe PoWeReD by Growing, Relating, Contributing, Praying, Worshiping, Reading Scripture and Discipling with a Christ-centered faith to serve our church, community and world. In other words, we Grow in our faith by being in Christ-centered Relationships; by Contributing (or sharing) our time, talents and gifts; by Praying; Worshiping and Reading Scripture on a regular basis; and by Discipling (or sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others).

UPCOMING EVENTS

 Sit-N-Bull Pizza Night @ 6:30pm on Thursday, May 17th @ Refshauge Park

 (Church will be the backup if the weather doesn't cooperate)

 Come & join your church family for a night of Pizza & Fun. We    

 will be getting our pizzas from the Sit-N-Bull in Giltner and are 

 asking everyone to bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share.

 Sign up by May 13th on the sheet in the Narthex or email the

 church office if you plan on coming. Pizza, drinks and table

 service will be provided, but there is a $5.00 per person donation

 suggested to help cover the cost of the Pizza.

SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2012

 Congregational Meeting

The Building Committee will be presenting its proposed floor plan for our future building addition to the congregation on Sunday, May 20th following Worship. Because of the Teacher Appreciation Brunch that mornng, there will only be time for a few questions following the presentation. Therefore, a second meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 23rd @ 7:30 p.m. for those who who have questions or comments that time on the 20th would not allow as well as allowing those who were not able to be at the meeting on the 20th a chance to view the proposed plan. A vote on the proposed floor plan has been scheduled by the council for Sunday, June 3rd following worship.  

Teacher Appreciation Brunch

Immediately following the Congregational meeting we will be having a Teacher Appreciation Brunch. The congregation is invited to come eat Breakfast pizza and say 'thank-you'  to all of our dedicated Sunday School teachers.  If you plan to stay for the Brunch, please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or email the church office.
